15 JUNE 2022
I yawned as the majestic ball of fire made its dramatic entrance, signaling the start of a brand new day. I gave a lazy stretch, basking in the warm rays of the morning sun. With the sun’s brilliant rays being cast across the land, an artist’s masterpiece was created. The gentle morning breeze crooned outside the window along with the boisterous and melodious chirping of birds. The dual hues of blue and orange painted the picturesque in the morning sky once again. A promising brand new day has just started.
After a scrumptious breakfast, we intended to go fishing along the creek near our accommodation, but instead of fishing, we ended up ‘turtling’!
SELF INVENTED WORD: “Turtling” means using a fishing rod which has a fresh prawn hooked onto it. It attracts turtles instead of fishes. When a turtle is almost done eating the prawn, one will lift the hook up, unhook the prawn and throw it back to the turtle.

After βTURTLINGβ, we went on our way to the beaches. Along the way, we stopped by a lookout and enjoyed the spectacular view of the sea.

From there, we went to Trinity Beach. At the beach, the sand closest to the sea was special as it looked as though it was part of the sea. When I walked closer, I discovered that it was actually the reflection made by the water on the sand! I was relieved that it was solid ground. I stood bravely on it. It felt amazing to stand on the sand which was rather sticky, like mud. We took many pictures of the beach on that windy but sunny day. It was a strange feeling.
Thereafter, we went to explore Palm Cove. There were many nice shops and houses along the beach. There was also a cool market and a beautiful resort hotel there called Peppers Beach Club and Spa. We explored the market. There were several quaint stores, eateries and barber shops but it was rather quiet.

After going to the beautiful beaches, we went to the Balancing Rocks.

It comes with a bonus! I discovered a new pose, named, Balance a Hat and a Duck. πΌοΈπ·πͺ¨ππ¦π§
Next, we went to our third lodging of the trip, which was on top of a…hill! It was near Port Douglas which was a long drive from Kuranda which is why we did not do much that day. There was a lemon tree and a swimming pool at our new place. There was also a, guess what, marvelously shiny DISCO BALL in one of our rooms! (We will talk more about it when we come to day 8).

What a brilliant day!
